This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, how long we keep it, and what rights you have. It is written to be read, not skimmed. Last updated: September 2026.

Who is responsible

This website is operated by Sawada Tax Accountant Office (澤田大志税理士事務所), Osaka, Japan. Where professional services are engaged, the engagement — and the personal information it involves — is with Sawada Tax Accountant Office, a licensed Japanese tax accountant office in Osaka, Japan. What we collect

• Intake and email inquiries: name, email address, country of residence, nationality, your situation and timeline, a description of the asset or company, whether Japanese returns have been filed before, and anything else you choose to tell us.
• Engagements: the documents needed for the service — identification, bank statements, contracts, business plans, tax and company records — and correspondence about them.
• Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time). We do not run advertising trackers.

Why we collect it

• To answer your inquiry and tell you whether and how we can help.
• To perform the services you engage us for, including preparing Japanese tax returns, tax agent work and written memos.
• To meet legal obligations that apply to licensed professionals in Japan — in particular, identity and source-of-funds verification under the Act on Prevention of Transfer of Criminal Proceeds, and record-keeping under tax and professional regulations.
• To keep the site secure and working.

We rely on your consent when you submit the intake form, on the performance of a contract once you engage us, and on legal obligations for the verification and record-keeping described above.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only:

• With partner professionals in Japan (for example, an immigration specialist for visa filing, or a judicial scrivener for company registration) — only with your prior agreement, and only what that professional needs.
• With service providers that process data on our behalf: web hosting, the form service that delivers your intake to us, email, and card payment processing. They may not use your data for their own purposes.
• Where required by Japanese law or a competent authority.

Some providers operate outside Japan. Where they do, we choose providers with recognised security standards and contractual safeguards.

How long we keep it

• Inquiries that do not lead to an engagement: up to 12 months, then deleted.
• Engagement records, including identity and source-of-funds verification: as long as Japanese law requires licensed professionals to keep them — generally 7 years after the engagement ends.
• Server logs: up to 90 days.

Security

Documents are exchanged over encrypted connections and stored on access-controlled systems. Card payments are handled by the payment provider; we do not see or store full card numbers.

Your rights

You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We honour such requests except where law requires us to keep the information (the verification and record-keeping obligations above). Write to en@ambita.jp; we respond within 30 days. If you are in a jurisdiction that gives you additional rights — for example, the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — those rights are unaffected by this policy.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Third-party services embedded on this site (fonts, the form service, payment) may set their own; see their policies.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be noted on this page.

Governing law

This policy and our handling of personal information are governed by the laws of Japan, including the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
